Strip Steak with Boysenberry Jam

Yields1 Serving

 8 oz Strip Steak
 2 Red Medium Potatoes, Cubed
 8 oz Brussels Sprouts, Halved
Spice Mix:
 1 tsp Salt
 1 tsp Pepper
 1 tsp Garlic Powder
 1 tsp Onion Powder
 1 tsp Paprika
 1 tsp Chili Powder
 1 tsp Oregano
Boysenberry Beef Bacon Jam:
 ½ lb Beef Bacon Cut Into Lardons
 1 White Onion, Chopped
 1 tsp Chili Flakes
 1 tsp Red Wine Vinegar
 15 oz Can of Bosenberries

Salt and Pepper Strip Steak. Grill on BBQ or grill and finish in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until desired doneness. Rest steak until ready to plate. Cube potatoes and halve brussels sprouts. Fry in deep fryer or shallow fry in a pan until browned and cooked through. Toss in spice mix.

Spice Mix:

Mix spices together.

Boysenberry Beef Bacon Jam:

Cook beef bacon, onion and chili flake, deglaze with red wine vinegar. Add boysenberries and cook down to jam/chutney consistency.

Plate:

Arrange potatoes and brussels sprouts out on the center of the plate and spread the Boysenberry jam around the outside of the vegetables. Fan the strip steak out on top of the vegetables and garnish with parsley.
